On this occasion of 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between China and Australia, I’m honoured to take the position of Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane and fully aware of my important responsibility.

Queensland situates in northeastern Australia. As the second largest state, it is rich in mineral and energy resources. Many overseas Chinese live in Queensland. China and Queensland enjoy a sound basis for cooperation. State capital Brisbane is the third largest city in Australia.

Queensland is widely known as the “Sunshine State”. As the new Consul-General, I wish to continue working with my colleagues and friends to promote China-Queensland exchanges and cooperation at various levels and in different fields, bringing more sunshine to the relations.

The Consulate-General will actively practice “diplomacy for the people”. We protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and enterprises as well as provide high-quality and efficient consular services to both Chinese and foreign people, contributing to the development of China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership.
