Consul General Ren made remarks
Consul General Ren received a Special Contribution Award On Feb 13, Chinese Consul General Ren Gongping was invited to attend Royal Brisbane International College 2009 Gala and was honored a Special Contribution Award by RBIC CEO Michelle Lee. Consul General Ren said, "RBIC which is a vigorous international college with the concepts of pragmatism, innovation and collaboation, has made contribution in language education, career training and promoting Queensland-China educational exchanges". Consul General Ren said,"in recent years, China-Queensland relation made progress, especially bilateral educational collaboration was deepened and broadened. China has become Queensland's No.1 foreign students sources. Chinese students not only pushed forward the progress of Queensland educational industry and helped more and more chinese people understood Queensland, but also accelerated Queensland tourism industry. I hope that through cooperations with Chinese colleges, RBIC could play a bigger role in promoting understandings and friendship between two peoples". Queensland health minister Stephen Robertson, Chair of Queensland-China Council Sim Hayward, Deputy Mayor of Brisbane Graham Quirk, officials of Education Queensland and members of Queensland Consular corps were at presence. RBIC which was founded in 2002, had more than 6000 graduates, and was honored 2008 Queensland China Trade Ambassador Award in December 2008. |
