Chinese Consulate-General in Brisbane Hosts Networking Program
On the afternoon of 4th July, Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Brisbane welcomed more than 20 students from Peking University and Griffith University to its annual networking program.
Acting Consul-General Ms. Zhou Li thanked Griffith University and Peking University for their support in promoting exchanges between young students from China and Australia. She said despite differences in their nationalities and background, the Chinese and Australian students present today had one in common: they are all keen to embrace the history, culture, economic and social development of the other country, wish to deepen their understanding about China-Australia relations and enhance their friendship. She said the people are the groundwork of the China-Australia relations and the future of the China-Australia relationship lies in the youth. She encouraged the students to cherish this opportunity to befriend with each other, and make their contribution to this end.
The students visited the Consular Service Hall and the Function Room of the Consulate-General, where they were briefed by the young diplomats on China-Queensland relations, especially cooperations in economic and trade, education and science and people to people exchange.
